There's a quote which I have read many times, but up until now I never could relate too.

“People come into our lives for a reason, season or a lifetime.” – unknown

I moved out for university where I made endless friends and a handful of very close friends.

These very close friends, I like to refer to them as Gems.
Being with them, not only did I get the opportunity to learn from them, they made me happy and I experienced ‘adult life’.
I strongly believe I have become the person I am today because of these Gems.

In life, things happen or misunderstandings occur and we are unable to keep in touch, which in my case caused me to depart from my special Gems.

At the time we feel we are able to do so easily, but I believe when you have time to reflect on the 'good times', that I personally am so thankful for such experiences and amazing Gems.

When certain moments in life bring the past gems into my mind, I smile a big smile, thinking of the past happiness I encountered and thank God for sending those Gems into my life, even though it was for a season in my life.

People come and go into your life; it is good to appreciate what you have, before it becomes what you had.

This blog is dedicated to my good time Gems, who no longer are in touch.
